Eyram Yawa Anagblah is a project officer and a chartered accountant with a background in finance, business administration and global prosperity. Her work brings together financial expertise and project management with an interest in supporting projects that contribute to sustainable and inclusive prosperity.
Eyram holds an MSc in Prosperity Innovation and Entrepreneurship from University College London (UCL) and an BSc in Business Administration from the University of Ghana. She is also an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) affiliate.
What motivates me at Open PEA
Growing up, I saw that we were never short of ideas about how to make things better. We talked about better schools, better healthcare, better public services and better opportunities. But I also saw that having a good idea or policy did not always mean that things changed.
That gap has always interested me. Why do some good ideas take off while others struggle? Why can something that makes perfect sense on paper be so difficult to make work in practice?
The questions Open PEA asks feel very real to me. I believe that if we understand the politics, incentives, interests and institutions behind a problem, we can find more realistic ways to create change. Understanding these factors can be just as important as understanding the problem itself.
What motivates me most is being part of work that is curious about that reality rather than ignoring it, and having the opportunity to help make political economy analysis accessible and practical. For me, it is ultimately about contributing to a better understanding of how meaningful change can actually happen.
